The reality of creative leadership among public schools’ principals enrolled in the Directorate of Education of the Southern Mazar Brigade from the teachers’ perspective

Abstract

The current study seeks to identify the reality of creative leadership among public school principals in the Directorate of Education of the Southern Mazar Brigade from the teachers' perspective. Through employing the descriptive survey approach, the researcher utilized a self-developed questionnaire as the main research instrument to collect the intended data. Besides, the validity and the reliability of the questionnaire were tested and verified. The sample of the study, which was selected using the convenience sampling strategy, has consisted of (76) male and female teachers who are enrolled at teaching positions in the Directorate of Education of the Southern Mazar Brigade’s public schools. The findings of the study revealed that the degree of appreciation regarding the reality of creative leadership among public schools’ principals who serve at the Directorate of Education of the Southern Mazar Brigade recorded a high level. On the other hand, the (originality) field was ranked at the first place and it recorded a high degree. In addition, the (flexibility) filed was ranked at the second place and it recorded a high degree. Moreover, the (fluency) field was ranked at the third place and it recorded a high degree as well. The findings have further reported that there were no statistically significant differences (α = 0.05) as per to the arithmetic averages of the participants’ responses in terms of the reality of creative leadership among the public schools’ principals who serve at the Directorate of Education of the Southern Mazar Brigade and that is due to the impact of the of gender and years of experience variables. It is worth mentioning that the current study has presented a set of recommendations, most notably of these recommendations include: the need for schools to adopt the concept of creative leadership due to its positive role in achieving the mission, vision and educational goals of the Directorate of Education of the Southern Mazar Brigade, as well as its ability to motivate the directorate’s employees.
