The Effect of a Proposed Educational Program Based on Active Learning on Developing the Creative Thinking among Seventh Grade Students in Jordan

Abstract

The study aimed to reveal the effect of a Proposed educational program based on active learning in developing creative thinking skills among seventh grade students in Jordan. The study adopted the quasi experimental approach based on the design of the experimental group and control group, the study tool a scale of creative thinking developed by the researcher, and into his consideration and its validity and reliability were confirmed by appropriate statistical methods the study tool The number of students was (68) seventh grade students available sample from Abdellatif Abidin Primary School at Marka Directorate of Education. The first group of (34) students studied the "household electrical wiring" and "traffic awareness" units using the proposed active learning program, while the other (34) students studied the same units in the normal way. The Creative Thinking test was applied before and after the experiment. The results showed that there was a statistically significant difference in the post vocational skills test between the scores of the two groups where the experimental group was advanced at (α=0.05). According to these results, the researcher presented the recommendations and proposals.
