The Degree of Compliance of Higher Academic Institutions with the Implementation of the Academic Accreditation and Quality standards in West Bank Universities from the stand point of Academic Leaders and Faculty Members

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to show the practicing degree of higher education institutions are committed to applying academic accreditation and quality standards in West Bank universities from the point of view of academic leaders and faculty members. The sample of the study consisted of 659 administrative educational leaders and faculty members, selected in a class random way. To achieve the aims of the study, the descriptive survey method was used, and a questionnaire consisting of 40 items was developed. The study results showed that the practicing degree of higher education institutions are committed to applying academic accreditation and quality standards was moderate, and the results showed that there were significant statistical differences at the level of statistical significance α=0.05 in sample study estimations for the practicing degree of commitment of higher education institutions in applying the criteria of academic accreditation and quality in universities in the West Bank due to the variable of the study years of experience on the tool and its areas, for those with less than 10 year's experience  compared to their colleagues who had experience of 10 years and over, The results also showed that there was no significant statistical differences in sample study estimations for the practicing degree of commitment of higher education institutions in applying the criteria of academic accreditation and quality in universities in the West Bank due to the variables of the study gender, job title.
