The Effectiveness of Distance Teaching on Applied Science Private University Students’ Learning of National Education Course from their Point of View and their Attitudes towards it

Abstract

This study aimed to get acquainted with the degree of the effectiveness of distance teaching on Applied Science Private University students’ learning of National Education course from their point of view and their attitudes towards it. The descriptive approach was used to achieve the aims of the study. A questionnaire was designed as an instrument to collect data. The sample consisted of (341) students who were taught National Education at the Private University of Applied Sciences via distance teaching during the second semester of the academic year 2019 - 2020 because of Corona pandemic. The findings revealed that the effectiveness of distance teaching of National Education was very high and that the students' attitudes towards distance teaching were very high and positive. Several recommendations were put forth such as activating distance teaching to teach some subjects, opening the way for students from outside Jordan to enroll in the university through distance learning and promoting the sustainability of professional development of teachers by offering training courses to invest in distance teaching.
