Abstract

This paper presents a methodology and a computer program for the time-dependent analysis of stresses and strains of cast–in- situ reinforced concrete bridges constructed by cantilever method. The methodology considers time-dependent effects including creep, shrinkage, and relaxation of prestressed steel using superposition of strains and creep- transformed section properties. The computer program was used to analysis "Kędzierzyn-Koźle" bridge previously constructed in Poland. The results showed the importance of time- dependent analysis for stresses and strains in both concrete and steel.
