Self-Disclosure and its Relationship to a feeling of Psychological Happiness among University Students

Abstract

The current study aimed to determine the level of both self-disclosure and a sense of psychological happiness among university students and the relationship between them. The study sample was composed of (500) male and female students, they were selected in the available method. To achieve the aims of the study, used the self-disclosure scale, and the psychological happiness scale. The results showed that the level of self-disclosure was medium, and the level of psychological happiness was high. And there were statistically significant differences at the level of self-disclosure due to gender and faculty, the benefit is for females and human faculties, and there were no statistically significant differences attributed to the place of residence. And there were no statistically significant differences in the level of psychological happiness due to gender, faculty and place of residence, and there was a statistically significant positive relationship between self-disclosure and psychological happiness among university students. According to the results of the study, a set of recommendations were presented.
