Fear of success and its relationship to irrational thoughts among students of the World Islamic Sciences & Education University

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the fear of success and its relationship to irrational thoughts among students of the World Islamic Sciences & Education University. The study sample consisted of (160) students who were chosen randomly. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher developed two scales of fear of success and irrational thoughts. The results of the study indicated that the level of both the fear of success and the irrational thoughts among the students of the World Islamic Sciences & Education University was moderate, and the results showed a positive and statistically significant correlation between the fear of success and irrational thoughts. And the absence of statistically significant differences in the fear of success according to the two variables of the study, and the presence of statistically significant differences in irrational thoughts according to the difference of sex, in favor of females, the difference in academic specialization, and in favor of the specialization of special education.
