The extent of the social responsibility of the Libyan and Palestinian telecom companies in mitigating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic

Abstract

The results of the study proved that the Libyan telecom companies did not contribute to mitigate the negative effects resulting from the Covid-19 by activating the role of social responsibility.  This is evident through the respondents’ answers with a medium degree, where the general arithmetic average value was (3.08), and with a relative weight (61.69%). A standard deviation (0.85), and the significance level of Sig (0.686).

Also, the Palestinian telecom companies did not contribute to mitigate the negative effects resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic by activating the role of social responsibility. This is evident through the respondents ’answers to a medium degree, as the value of arithmetic mean (3.24), with a relative weight (64.85%), a standard deviation (0.849), and the level of Sig (0.256).

The study recommends that the Libyan and Palestinian telecommunications companies should play their social role in mitigating the negative effects resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic by activating the social responsibility role.
